Subclass 116
This visa is a permanent residency option allowing carers to relocate to Australia to provide support for someone with a long-term medical condition.
Eligibility Criteria:
- At the time of application and decision, the applicant must be outside Australia.
- The applicant must be willing to provide care for their sponsor.
- The applicant must have a sponsor who is either their relative or the spouse of their relative.
- The sponsor is required to obtain a verified medical certificate from BUPA confirming that the person they are caring for has a medical condition that is long-term or permanent and that they require assistance for a minimum of two years.
Note: Additional requirements may need to be fulfilled beyond these baseline criteria.
