The renowned subclass 187 RSMS visa has been replaced by the subclass 494 visa. This visa allows applicants to stay and work in regional Australia for up to five years and has an age limit of 45 years.

  • All three ads must run for at least 28 days (4 weeks) and must have been published within the four months prior to the nomination lodgment date.

Additional Requirements for Nomination:

  • The employee must earn a minimum annual salary of $53,900 (TSMIT).
  • Sponsoring businesses with an annual revenue exceeding $10 million must contribute $1,800 annually to the Australian Skilled Fund. For businesses earning less than $10 million, the annual contribution is $1,200.

4. Visa Application:

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be under 45 years of age.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in English.
  • Have three years of full-time work experience in the nominated occupation.
  • Hold a valid visa (e.g., BVA, BVB, or BVC).
  • Provide a positive skills assessment for the nominated occupation.

Visa Application Fees:

  • $4,045.00 for the primary applicant.
  • $2,025.00 for the spouse.
  • $1,010.00 for each dependent child.
